They say chocolates and beautiful
poetry are one of the main ways to get to a woman’s
heart.
They say even good wine can be a huge help.
But I have learned never to cease learning for we learn
something new every day.
Because, a way to a woman’s heart is not only through
the eyes and the ears but also just like man, it’s also
through the stomach.
Give any woman,
sweet tasting desserts or delicacies you have them
covered more or less
Give any woman, fine dining or fine cuisines, you’re in
her good books for a long-long time.
On the
7th
of November 2006, I was invited for a food
tasting at the Seri Pacific Hotel in the City.
It was a food tasting for
ALL-PASTA.
Just those two
words, you can see many eyes gleam. Which girl would say
no to pasta? What more to a professionally done one?
How many chefs
have you heard of making the Malaysia world book of
records for pasta?
This particular chef that came all the way from the
Alps, Switzerland managed to do so.
Creating 402 sauces for pasta within
7 hours and 42 minutes!!
I had the privilige of indulging in his fine
masterpieces along with his assistant chef URS who came
along.
Plus, his cook book has been offcially released in
Malaysia.

Both were
incredibly humble as we sat around the table chatting
for a bit as the rest were arriving late due to the
heavy massive jam.
How could I not invite
Kktt
for such tasting? Especially pasta.
She promised one day she would cook HER style of pasta
for me

*~Earliest ones there despite being stuck in traffic for
over an hour~*
Food will always
look and taste somehow differently, when you see it
being prepared right before your eyes.
Seeing bits and pieces of the dish and then seeing it
being transformed right behind your eyes,
just helps you
heighten your appetite even more.

The aroma was so
seductive; I could feel my mouth literally watering
inside badly.
The aroma played havoc with my stomach making me go
“I want to
eat, quickly!!!”
Marco cooked
4
different pastas at once.
There was the
Vegetarian pasta which had a tangy taste to it
which wasn’t very much to my liking but nevertheless,
it
carried a sense of unique flavour within it.

*~Vegetarian pasta~*
The pasta that had
chicken meat inside along with tons of vegetables
had an oriental taste to it
and Marco added Bok Choy
along.

*~Can you see the chicken?~*
Have you ever
had pasta that was a little spicy?
I had.
This dish carried a feel
of Indian curry being mixed inside with thick
curry cream giving it a sense
of mixture of spiciness
and saltiness at the same time.
Talk about total fusion.

*~Indianish Pasta~*
Last but not
least, my favourite pasta dish of all.
Pasta with tomato cream
sauce along with shrimps in them.
I couldn’t stop finishing it.
Turns out, if was Marco the chef’s favourite as well.

*~I heart the sauce~*
The pastas were
so fantastic; I wished it didn’t have to end.
I wished I was able to try all 402 sauces!

*~We heart pasta~*

We all know that a way to a man’s heart is through his
stomach
Well,It works the same for the women
as well.
